143.02 OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT; RULES AND REGULATIONS.
No full-time officer or other member of the Fire Department shall be gainfully employed (work) at another job, trade or profession without making a written request to the Safety Director and receiving written and signed authorization permitting such other employment. Failure to comply with these rules and regulations shall be grounds for dismissal or suspension. Denial of an employee request must be in writing from the Director to the requesting employee, setting forth reasons for the denial. Copies of the Director's response shall be provided to Council and the Civil Service Commission. (Ord. 104-74. Passed 8-15-74.)
