141.13 COMMUNICATION OPERATOR.

   (a)   There is hereby created within the Police Department the position of Communication Operator.

   (b)   Communication Operators shall be appointed by the Director of Public Safety, and the position:

      (1)   Shall be within the classified service of the City if the position occupant is a full-time employee; or

      (2)   Shall not be within the classified service of the City if the position occupant is a part-time employee.

   (c)   Communication Operators shall be under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Police Department, and shall perform such duties as stated within the job description filed with the Civil Service Commission.
