141.08 EMERGENCY PATROLMEN.

(a) In case of riot or other emergency, the Mayor may appoint additional patrolmen and officers for temporary service, who need not be in the classified list of such Department. Such additional patrolmen or officers shall be employed only for the time during which the emergency exists.

(b) In the event that such emergency patrolmen or officers are appointed, the Auditor and Treasurer are hereby authorized to pay such emergency patrolmen and officers not more than the hourly rate for the classification of P/F1, Step AE", pursuant to the prevailing and current salary ordinance. (Ord. 122-92. Passed 12-1-92.)
