137.01 DEPUTY TREASURER.

   (a)    There is hereby created the position of Deputy Treasurer of the City, such Deputy Treasurer to serve at the pleasure of the City Treasurer.

   (b)    Such Deputy Treasurer is hereby authorized to perform and exercise the powers and functions of the City Treasurer only during the temporary absence from the City of the Treasurer, or because of the incapacity or physical disability of the Treasurer to serve, or during the interim when the position of the City Treasurer is vacant for any of the reasons as set froth in Section 47 of the Charter.

   (c) The pay scale for the office of the Deputy Treasurer will be within the designated line item pay range for the position, per Account Number 101-4000-1500, of the current and prevailing salary ordinance.
