133.08 CONTRACT SERVICES FOR COLLECTION.
(a) The Mayor and City Attorney are hereby authorized to enter into a contract or contracts as may be deemed necessary with a professional collection agency or agencies, for the purpose of pursuing and collecting delinquent accounts owed to the City.
(b) The selection and placement of any contract for collective services shall be the result of joint efforts of the Mayor and City Attorney so as to obtain the most cost-effective and professional services.
(c) Any department of the City is hereby authorized to submit to the City Attorney such delinquent accounts as may be economically feasible for rendition of such collection services.
(d) Such contract or contracts shall provide for service fees for professional collection services in accordance with the intent of this section.
(e) The Auditor is authorized to create such accounts as may be necessary to fulfill and carry into effect the intent of this section.
