SECTION 70. NOMINATIONS.

Nonpartisan primary elections shall be held in the City of Whitehall on the date set by State statute for primary elections for municipal offices. Such elections shall be for the purpose of nominating persons as candidates for elective offices as provided in this Charter and to be voted upon at the next regular municipal election. Those persons receiving the highest vote totals, and equal to twice the members of office for which such election is held, shall be designated a candidate for such office, subject to applicable provisions of this Charter.
