373.12 ROLLER SKATES AND SKATEBOARDS.

(a) As used in this section the term "skateboard" includes, without limitation, any vehicle or device consisting basically of a board or platform mounted on wheels or rollers, whether powered by gravity, muscle power or mechanical or motorized means, which is not equipped with a positive, mechanical means of steering such vehicle or device.

(b) No person shall ride or operate roller skates or a skateboard upon any roadway in the City, except when crossing a street in a crosswalk.
