1502.01 DELETIONS, MODIFICATIONS AND AMENDMENTS.
   The Fire Prevention Code adopted in Chapter 1501 is hereby added to, deleted, modified or amended as set forth in the Chapters and Sections following:
CHAPTER 1
ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT

   SECTION 101 GENERAL
101.1 The rules as set forth in Chapter 1301:7-7- of the Administrative Code shall be known as the “Ohio Fire Code” abbreviated “OFC”, and hereinafter may also be referred to as the “state fire code” or “this code”.
   SECTION 105 PERMITS
105.1 Permits, where required by this Code, shall be obtained from the Fire Official. All fire occupancy permits shall be renewed annually unless otherwise stipulated on the permit. Permits shall at all times be kept on the premises designated therein and shall at all times be subject to inspection by the fire official.
   105.8 Fire Code Permit Cost: All fire permits shall cost $40.00, except as follows:
   1.   Assembly greater than 50 and less than 100 - $60.00.
   2.   Assembly greater than 100 - $80.00.
   3.   Hazardous materials - $100.00.
   4.   Explosives - $100.00.
   5.   Reactive - $100.00.
   If permit has been revoked, a double fee shall apply for reinstatement.
   SECTION 112 FIRE MARSHALL PERMITS AND INSPECTION FEES
112.3 The City of Whitehall Division of Fire shall not charge a fee for the initial inspection of a building. There shall not be an inspection fee for the first reinspection of the property for assurance that discovered violations have been remedied. If violations continue to exist, the second reinspection shall cost the code violator an inspection fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00). Each subsequent reinspection shall cost an additional one hundred dollars ($100.00) more than the previous reinspection. For example:
   1.   Initial inspection - no charge
   2.   Reinspection - no charge
   3.   Second reinspection - $100.00
   4.   Third reinspection - $200.00
   5.   Fourth reinspection - $300.00
CHAPTER 3
PRECAUTIONS AGAINST FIRE
   SECTION 310 SMOKING
   Smoking shall be prohibited in compliance with Ohio R.C. 3794, otherwise known as the “Smoking Ban”.
CHAPTER 14
FIRE SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION
SECTION 1412 WATER SUPPLY FOR FIRE PROTECTION
1412.1 No building construction, alteration or demolition shall commence without an operating street hydrant system that has been certified in compliance with the City of Whitehall Service Department, or Whitehall Division of Fire; and also the provisions of the rest of this section are in compliance.
