1309.02 PERMIT REQUIRED.

   No person shall commence or proceed with the installation, alteration or repair of any electrical equipment in or about any building in the City without first obtaining from the Building Official a permit to do such work. However, no permit shall be required for work such as repairing flush and snap switches, replacing fuses, changing lamp sockets and receptacles, taping bare joints and repairing drop cords. In cases where an emergency or of urgent necessity, such electrical work may proceeded, prior to obtaining a permit, provided such person obtains the necessary permit as required by the end of the next business day. Correct information shall be furnished by the applicant for the permit on blanks furnished by the Building Department giving the location of the premises, by house number, where work is to be done, the name of the owner, and square feet of work area.
