916.04 PROHIBITED TREES AND SHRUBS.

   (a)    The following trees shall not be planted on Municipally-owned property without specific consent of the Service Director or his designee:

      Acer saccharinum (Silver maple)

      Acer negundo (Boxelder)

      Aesculus hippocastanum (Horse chestnut)

      Ailanthus glandylesa (Tree of Heaven)

      Betula (all birch)

      Catalpa (all)

      Elaeagnus Angustifolia (Russian olive)

      Evergreens Fruit tree cultivars bred for fruit production

      Ginko Biloba (Ginko Female)

      Li Riodendrontulipifera (tulip tree)

      Morus (all mulberry)

      Popicas Deltoriles (Cottonwood)

      Populas (all poplars)

      Robina pseudooacacia (Black Locust)

      Sarbus Aucuparia (European Mountain Ash)

      Ulmus (Moline Elm)

      Ulmus Pacviforica (Chinese elm)

   (b)    Whenever any tree or shrub shall be planted or set out in conflict with the provisions of this section, it shall be unlawful for the Service Director or his designee to remove or cause removal of the same. (Ord. 57-91. Passed 8-6-9 l.)
