901.03 WATER MAIN SPECIFICATIONS.
All water mains and appurtenances to be constructed in the City shall conform to the following regulations:
(a) All water mains and appurtenances plans shall be prepared on 22"x 30" sheets standard plan and profile tracing cloth, known as Keuffel and Esser "Standard Profile Plat B, 4x 30", or equal, using a horizontal scale of one inch equals eighty feet and a vertical scale of one inch equals six feet.
(b) Plans shall show the name of the subdivision or owner's name and acreage if not subdivided, street and lot lines, ground line, depth of water line and proposed or actual street grade. If more than two sheets are required the first sheet shall be a plain sheet containing the title and index or location plan and the complete plans shall show all the data required for the proper construction of such water line and appurtenances.
(c) The plans shall provide for the approval and signatures of the City Engineer, Service Director and Mayor, and if the water mains are connected to the water system of the City of Columbus, approvals and signatures of the Superintendent, Division of Water and the Service Director of the City of Columbus. If the water mains are to be constructed under the supervision of the Franklin County Sanitary Engineer, the Sanitary Engineer's and the County Commissioners' approval shall be provided for. These approvals shall appear on the title sheet or first sheet of the plans.
(d) All water mains and appurtenances shall be constructed according to City standard construction drawings and specifications attached to and made a part hereof, as if fully written herein.
(e) Within sixty days after completion of the project final or record plans shall be prepared showing the location of all water lines, valves, hydrants, service boxes and all data necessary for relocating all water mains and appurtenances. Those plans shall be prepared on 22"x 30" tracing cloth in ink, and may be a revision of the construction drawings. The original drawings shall be the property of the City. The City may refuse permission to tap water mains if final plans are not submitted within the allotted period. (1964 Code §152.3)
