529.09 PROSTITUTION.

   (a)    No person shall engage in sexual activity for hire.

   (b)    Whoever violates subsection (a) hereof is guilty of prostitution, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

   (c)   (1)   No person, with knowledge that the person has tested positive as a carrier of a virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, shall engage in sexual activity for hire.

      (2)   Whoever violates subsection (c)(1) hereof is guilty of engaging in prostitution after a positive HIV test, a felony to be prosecuted under appropriate state law.
