The City Sexton shall be ex-officio a deputy police officer of the City and shall take the several oaths required by law to be taken by such police officer. He shall have the power to arrest persons violating this article or any ordinance of the City in relation to cemeteries or graveyards. He shall receive the same fees as a City police officer receives for like services; provided, however, that no costs shall be charged to the City. He shall not be required as such deputy to perform any other duties than such as may be necessary in the enforcement of this article or ordinances relating to cemeteries. (1961 Code Sec. 933.08)
