(a) Assessment of the Installation of Sidewalks

At its option, the Village may utilize the provisions contained in Ohio R.C. Chapter 727 or 729.07 to 729.11 to repair any sidewalks in violation of Sections 521.06 to 521.069. This option includes the right of the Village to make, or to contract out any repairs of the sidewalk in violation of Sections 521.06 to 521.069. After such repairs are made the Village may levy a special assessment for the costs incurred upon the real property abutting such repaired sidewalks.
(b) Penalty. Whoever violates any provision of Sections 521.06 to 521.069 shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. Each day’s violation shall constitute a separate offense. If repairs or new construction are made contrary to this chapter, each day that such construction or repair remains shall constitute a separate offense.
