Nothing in this chapter, which includes the Plumbing Code, shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding pending in any court on March 3, 1969, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, nor any cause or causes of action accrued or existing as of March 3, 1969, under any act or ordinance modified by this chapter; nor shall any right or remedy of any character existing on March 3, 1969, be lost, impaired, or affected by this chapter.
