§ 113.23 RULES FOR PROTECTION OF THE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM.
   Any public utility company supplying water to the city or the inhabitants thereof is hereby authorized to promulgate rules and regulations not inconsistent with state law, this city code, the Plumbing Code, or other ordinance of the city for the installation, repair, or alteration of air conditioning systems, water- treatment equipment, and water-operated devices as may be deemed necessary to properly protect the water supply system. All such rules and regulations, when formulated, shall be submitted to the Common Council to be considered as subject matter for an ordinance of the Common Council supplementary to the Plumbing Code.
