§ 113.20 ADOPTED; PURPOSE, APPLICATION, AND THE LIKE.
   There is hereby adopted by the Common Council for the purpose of establishing standards and regulations for the designing, installing, and maintaining of plumbing systems, and for other purposes, that certain plumbing code recommended by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, which is known as the National Plumbing Code, being particularly the 2015 Edition thereof and amendments made thereto save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, of which Code not less than one copy, certified by the Mayor, has been and now is filed in the office of the City Clerk, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated in and made a part of this section as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall subject to the exceptions hereinafter set out, be controlling in the designing, installing, and maintaining of plumbing and drainage systems within or on public or private buildings and other premises situated within the corporate limits of the city. The National Plumbing Code, with its amendments, shall be known and may be cited as “the Plumbing Code”.
