The Common Council may by ordinance from time to time, upon its own volition or upon recommendation of the Building Official or the General Manager of the Sanitary Board, establish a schedule of fees for permits required by this chapter, and such schedule may include fees for inspections of work done under such permits; provided, that until a schedule has been adopted pursuant to this section, the fee schedule, relative to the issuance of plumbing permits which is in force and effect upon the effective date of this city code shall remain in full force and effect.
