§ 154.054 DUTIES.
   For the purpose of these zoning regulations, the Village Planning Commission has the following specific responsibilities.
   (A)   Amendments. The Village Planning Commission shall be responsible for initiating or reviewing all proposed amendments to these zoning regulations and make recommendations to the Village Council in accordance with §§ 154.135 through 154.146.
   (B)   Appeals. To hear and decide appeals in accordance with §§ 154.115 through 154.121 where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the Zoning Inspector.
   (C)   Variances. Where an applicant has provided sufficient evidence to warrant the granting of a variance, to authorize such variances from the terms of these zoning regulations as will not be contrary to the public interest, where, owing to special conditions, a literal enforcement of these zoning regulations will result in unnecessary hardship, and so that the spirit of these zoning regulations shall be observed and substantial justice done. The consideration of such variances shall be in accordance with §§ 154.115 through 154.121.
   (D)   Conditional use permits. To grant conditional use permits as specified in §§ 154.095 through 154.100, and such additional safeguards as will uphold the intent of these zoning regulations.
