Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 135.021 herein, the Chief of Police shall be entitled to two weeks of paid vacation during each year in office. Provided however, that such vacation time shall be taken, if at all, during the twelve month period for which it has accrued, and shall not be carried over to subsequent years in office. Upon request of the Chief of Police, additional vacation time or leave may be granted upon a majority vote of Council.
