§ 94.04  PARTICULAR SOUNDS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   The following acts and activities, among others, are hereby declared to be unreasonably loud and disturbing sound levels in violation of § 94.01 above.
   (B)   This enumeration shall not be construed to be an exclusive list of activities or acts which violate § 94.01 above:
      (1)   The use of any gong, bell or siren upon any motor vehicle;
      (2)   The keeping of any animal or bird which makes frequent or long continued sounds, so that a reasonably prudent person would recognize as likely to unreasonably disturb the comfort or repose of persons in the vicinity;
      (3)   The blowing of any steam whistle attached to any stationary boiler except to give notice of the time to begin or stop work or as a warning of danger;
      (4)   The discharge into the open air of the exhaust of any steam engine, stationary internal combustion engine, motor vehicle or motor boat engine, except through a muffler or other device which effectively prevents unreasonably loud and disturbing or explosive sounds therefrom;
      (5)   The use of any mechanical device operated by compressed air unless the sounds created effectively muffled and reduced;
      (6)   The sounding of any chime, bell or gong attached to any building or premises which disturbs the quiet or repose of any person in the vicinity thereof;
      (7)   The shouting and crying of peddlers, barkers, hawkers and vendors which disturbs the quiet and peace of a residential neighborhood; and
      (8)   The firing or discharging of any kind of gun and the firing, discharge or ignition of squibs, firecrackers, gunpowder or other pyrotechnics, except with a permit as set forth in § 94.07 below, which shall be subject to the approval of the Chief of Police, provided that squibs, firecrackers and other pyrotechnics may only be fired, discharged or ignited at public events.
