901.01 STANDARDS.
   All new and replacement sidewalks installed within the corporate limits of the Village, except those installed over a driveway shall not be less than four (4) inches thick and shall be composed of not less than six (6) bag concrete mix. All sidewalks, whether new or replacement shall be grooved laterally each five (5) feet in length. All new sidewalks installed shall not be less than forty-eight (48) inches wide measured as adjoining sidewalks. All sidewalks, whether new or replacement, shall not be less than six (6) inches thick where they pass over a driveway.

901.02 PERMIT FEE.
   Every person, firm, corporation or other legal entity shall apply to the Fiscal Officer for a sidewalk permit and shall pay a permit fee of five dollars ($5.00).

901.03 GRADE LINES.
   Any person, firm, corporation or other leal entity who desires to install a new or replacement sidewalk shall, after obtaining a sidewalk permit from the Fiscal Officer, notify the Village Administrator who shall set the required grade line for the proposed sidewalk installation and shall furnish reasonable advice, if requested, pertaining to the sidewalk installation.

901.04 INSPECTION.
   (a)   Upon completion of the new or replacement sidewalk, the installing person, firm, corporation or other legal entity shall notify the Village Administrator that the sidewalk has been installed and that the same is ready for inspection.
   (b)   Following the notification of completion the Village Administrator shall inspect the new or replacement sidewalk and he shall approve or reject the same. If the new or replacement sidewalk is approved, the Village Administrator shall note his approval on the sidewalk permit. If the Village Administrator disapproves the installation of the new or replacement sidewalk, he shall so notify the person, firm, corporation or other legal entity of such disapproval and the Village Administrator shall require that the new or replacement sidewalk be brought to such a condition that the same will pass inspection or cause the new or replacement sidewalk to be removed totally. 901.99 PENALTY.
   Whoever installs a new or replace an existing sidewalk without first obtaining a valid sidewalk permit from the Fiscal Officer as required under this chapter shall be deemed to be guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
