A. If a person fails to return library material for two (2) months or more after the date the person agreed to return the library materials, the failure to return is a violation of this code. If a person fails to return library equipment for one month or more after the date the person agreed to return the library equipment, the failure to return is a violation of this code. However, the library shall make a reasonable attempt to reclaim the materials or equipment; a reasonable attempt shall include the mailing, by registered certified mail, notice that such material or equipment is overdue and legal actions will be taken.
B. The director of the library, and his designee, shall have authority to issue citations for any violations referenced in this section. (Ord. 3537, 3-28-1988)
