(A) Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter for which no other penalty is provided shall be punished by a fine as set forth in the schedule of fees, charges, penalties and rewards attached to the annual budget of the city, pursuant to § 41.11 of this code. Each day any violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.

(B) Any person who shall violate the provisions of § 150.18 of this chapter shall be subject to a fine as set forth for each offense in the schedule of fees, charges, penalties and rewards attached to the annual budget of the city, pursuant to § 41.11 of this code. The Building Official is empowered to reduce the fine to the amount set forth in the schedule of fees, charges, penalties and rewards attached to the annual budget of the city, pursuant to § 41.11 of this code if, in his opinion, the failure to obtain the necessary permit was caused by inadvertence of the person required to obtain the permit. Any aggrieved person shall have the right to appeal in writing within five days to the Building Board of Appeals.
