Anyone who conducts the business of trimming limbs or cutting trees for hire must present to the city proof of liability insurance coverage; must obtain a permit from the proper department of the city administration prior to the initiation of any tree limb trimming or tree cutting (as set forth in § 98.05); and must place in the hands of the City Clerk-Treasurer a bond of sufficient amount to cover any potential damage which may result from the limb trimming or tree cutting to any electrical transmission wire or city thoroughfare as a result and/or any expense incurred by the city in repairing the damage or cleaning up any residue of the activity.
