§ 154.02 TENTATIVE APPROVAL.
   The preliminary plat will be checked by the Planning and Zoning Commission as to its conformity with the principles and standards set forth in § 154.03. If found satisfactory, the Commission will give its tentative approval to the preliminary plat. Such tentative approval of the preliminary plat by the Planning and Zoning Commission shall not constitute an acceptance of the plan or plat of the subdivision but shall be deemed merely a general approval of the layout submitted. It is to be understood that the City Engineer or the County Road Engineer and the State Board of Health in the case of plats located in the unincorporated area shall have the power to modify any engineering or construction details such as the type of improvements, the layout of the sewerage and drainage systems wherever he or they shall consider it advisable.
