The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the an ambulance billing company, which will provide an electronic claims filing system for the purpose of collecting insurance proceeds available to residents and nonresidents, and amounts not covered by the insurance companies of nonresidents as provided in Section 143.09. If the ambulance billing company is not able to collect the uncovered amounts pursuant to the terms in said agreement, the City may contract with another entity to collect the uncovered amounts.
