§ 32.18  FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT.
   (A)   The Town's firetrucks shall be kept in good condition, and any repairs that need to be made should be reported to the Fire Chief, who shall take the matter before the Town Council.  The firetrucks and equipment shall be kept within the immediate vicinity of the town.  All equipment, such as hats, coats, and the like must be left in the fire station, excepting for that equipment of the Fire Chief.  The penalty for taking the equipment from the station, or for taking the equipment home, is that the firefighter who does so shall be disciplined, which discipline may include being dismissed from the Fire Department.
   (B)   No person having charge of any fire-fighting equipment belonging to the town shall cause or permit the same to be used for private purposes, except as provided in §§ 32.19 through 32.22.
   (C)   No person shall drive over or cause any vehicle to pass over any hose of the Town Fire Department, when laid down to be used at any fire, alarm of fire, or practice, without first having obtained the consent of the Fire Chief or acting Fire Chief.
   (D)   The Fire Department shall be provided by the town with the necessary clothing, supplies, and fire-fighting apparatus.  The Fire Chief shall appropriately present the needs of that Department to the attention of Council.
