921.03 EXCEPTIONS FOR FIRE PROTECTION.
   No connection to the water works mains of the City shall be established or maintained to furnish water for fire protection to any property now or hereafter provided with a private water supply for fire protection obtained from a source other than the public water supply, unless equipment or devices satisfactory to the Director of Public Service and Safety, the Health Commissioner of the City and the State Department of Health are installed on the connection and maintained to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Service and Safety, the Health Commissioner of the City and the State Department of Health so as to effectually prevent water from the private water supply from entering the water works mains. When such installation is made, no connection between the piping system for fire protection only and other piping system upon or within the property shall be established or maintained.
