A. No permit as required by the building code, nor certificate of occupancy, shall be issued until the fee prescribed in this section has been paid to the city clerk-treasurer’s office.
B. The fees to be charged for permits for the erection, change, alteration of or addition to any building or structure shall be as follows:
Commercial building, office building, warehouse and/or storage buildings | $0.20 per square foot |
Residences, single, duplex, fourplex, garage apartments, apartments, including garage attached or detached | $0.10 per square foot |
Residential portable storage buildings, outbuildings, sheds, or storm shelters | $50.00 |
Demolition fee | $100.00 |
C. The fee to be charged for a certificate of occupancy where no building permit is required for the use of any land, building or structure shall be thirty dollars ($30.00).
D. Any person guilty of an offense under this section shall be punished by a fine and cost not to exceed the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first offense, two hundred dollars ($200.00) for the second offense, and three hundred dollars ($300.00) for each subsequent thereafter.
