6.08.110: IMPOUNDMENT FEES; EUTHANIZATION OR DISPOSAL:
The fees received as provided for in section 6.08.100 of this chapter shall be immediately delivered to the city treasurer and the amount credited to the general fund of the city. In the event the fees are assessed as a result of taking up any animal or the failure to procure a license as required, it shall be the duty of the animal control officer or his representative to euthanize or dispose of the animal after the expiration of time as provided in section 6.08.100 of this chapter. If an animal is confined at the city pound or any other place, the owner shall pay the fee and charges as provided in this chapter, even though the owner does not repossess the animal. If an animal is turned over to a licensed veterinarian or animal hospital for any obvious reason, the owner shall pay all reasonable and necessary fees charged therefor. (Ord. 382 §9, 1975)
