There is hereby adopted by the City Council for the construction, alteration, repair, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy of buildings and structures, including permits and penalties, that certain building and construction codes known as the International Building Code 2012, International Fire Code 2012, International Residential Code 2012, International Existing Building Code 2012, International Plumbing Code 2012, International Mechanical Code 2012, International Fuel Code 2012, and International Property Maintenance Code 2012 with appendixes and amendments thereto, save and except such portions as are hereinafter amended or deleted, of which one copy with all amendments notes therein shall be on file in the office of the City Secretary, available to all persons for inspection, and the same are hereby adopted as the building code(s) of the city as fully as if set out at length herein and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the city.
