§ 110.01  BOND REQUIREMENT FOR HVAC CONTRACTORS.
   (A)   Any person, firm, or corporation who designs, installs, constructs, maintains, services, repairs, alters, or modifies any heating, ventilating, or air conditioning product, system, or equipment within the City of Wake Village, Texas, will be required to deposit with the city a good and sufficient bond in the sum of $1,000, conditioned that the person, firm or corporation engaged in the business will faithfully observe all the laws pertaining to air conditioning and heating; further, that the city shall be indemnified and saved harmless from all claims arising from accidents and damage caused by the negligence of the person, firm, or corporation, or by any other unfaithful inadequate work done either by themselves or their agents or employees.
   (B)   The requirement for a bond does not apply to a person who performs air conditioning work in a building owned solely by him or her as his or her home.
   (C)   The requirement for a bond does not apply to a person who performs air conditioning contracting and is regularly employed by a regulated electric or gas utility.
