§ 71.41 USE OF STATE OR FEDERAL ROUTES BY OPERATORS OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLE.
   (A)   All streets and highways leading into the city shall be properly posted warning operators of vehicles used for the transportation of goods and property and exceeding weight limits prescribed by this chapter that they must follow state or federal routes, temporary or permanent.
   (B)   The operator of a vehicle exceeding those weight limits upon entering the city on a street other than a state or federal route shall proceed immediately by the shortest way possible to the nearest state or federal route leading in the direction in which the vehicle is proceeding, except as otherwise provided in § 71.40.
