§ 50.51 DECLARATION OF A WATER SHORTAGE ALERT.
   Whenever the Public Works Director, the public purveyor of potable water in the Versailles Municipal Water Service Area, finds that a condition exists where the city will not be able to meet the expected needs of its customers, upon written certification to the Mayor, the Mayor shall publicly declare a water shortage alert. In addition to the declaration, the Mayor shall call upon all customers of the Versailles Municipal Water Service Area to employ water conservation, to eliminate the waste of all treated water and the use of treated water outside of buildings; such usage to include, but not limited to: car washing; driveway washing; filling of swimming pools; use and filling of fountains and watering lawns; bushes and trees, in accordance with the schedule outlined by the Mayor of the city by Executive Order.
