The following water and sewer tap fees shall be charged for all connections made to the water and sewer sanitary sewer system of the city and it shall be the duty of the Municipal Water and Sewer Works to collect the fees listed below. Tap fees are the same for customers inside and outside the city limits.
(A) Residential units. For the purpose of this subchapter, a residential unit is defined as a system of one or more rooms arranged for the separate living of an individual or family and, equipped for housekeeping.

with one meter:

Units 2, 3, & 4 ($1,000 x 3): $3,000.00

(3) Multi-family residential units - multiple meters. Should a multi-family residential unit require a separate meter for each residential unit, the cost shall be $2,000.00 for the first 3/4” meter and $1,200.00 for each additional 3/4” meter.
Example: Four-plex apartment building, multiple meters

Units 2, 3 and 4 ($1,200 x 3) $3,600.00
Total $5,600.00
(B) Commercial units. For the purpose of this subchapter, a commercial unit is defined as office buildings, retail store buildings to be used for commercial, professional or nonresidential undertaking.

(C) Special commercial. For the purpose of this subchapter special commercial is defined as to include connections for use by hotels, motels, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or education buildings, whether publicly or privately owned and whether operated for profit or nonprofit.
(1) Special commercial base $3,500.00

(D) Industrial units. Industrial units shall include any facility established for the purpose of manufacturing or processing goods. The fee for connection into the water and sanitary sewer system of any industrial unit shall be based on the size of the water meter.
(E) Residential units with sewer only. Sewer assessment charges for residential users outside the city corporate limits not receiving city water service shall be:

Larger than 2” = $2,000.00 plus customer provides the installation of the meter as specified by the city.
(G) Temporary Water Meter. Prior to the provision of any water service for any residential, commercial, special commercial or industrial new construction, or for other temporary service, the property owner or contractor must apply to the city and pay a thirty- five dollar ($35.00) installation fee and a two thousand dollar ($2,000.00) refundable deposit. Upon payment of such fee, the city will install a temporary water meter which shall be utilized to provide water to the subject property for a period of up to ninety (90) days. The property owner or contractor will be billed monthly for water usage, including appropriate taxes and Kentucky River Authority Withdrawal fees. There will be no sewer charge associated with temporary water meters.
