All of the full-time regular police dispatchers of the Police Division of the City shall be in the classified service of the civil service as provided in Article VII, Section 2, of the City Charter.
The full-time regular police dispatchers, who are full-time regular police dispatchers and members of the Police Division on the effective date of this section (Ordinance 68-18, passed February 19, 1968), shall be placed in the classified service in their respective positions without examination.
