5-1-1: ESTABLISHED; APPOINTMENTS:
There shall be established a Volunteer Fire Department under the direction of the Town Council. There shall be a Chief of the Fire Department and one assistant Chief, to be appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the Town Council. (1965 Code § 3-1-1)
