351.99 PENALTY.

   (a)   The Director of Administration may, by regulation, establish fines for violation of the provisions of this chapter. The fines shall not, however, exceed ten dollars ($10.00) for payment within seventy-two hours of the violation and twenty-five dollars ($25.00) thereafter. Provided, nevertheless, the Director of Administration may, by regulation, provide for increased fines for habitual offenders not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) for each violation. An “habitual offender” means one who is issued more than four citations for violations in any twelve-month period.
   (b)   Failure to pay a fine as established herein within fourteen days shall be a minor misdemeanor.
   (c)   A fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00) is established for any parking violation for handicapped and fire-lane violations. (Ord. 4137. Passed 7-10-01.)
