§ 71.01 REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
   The owners or lessees of golf carts must register the golf cart annually with the town on or before January 1, and an annual registration fee of $15 be paid to the Clerk-Treasurer, who shall deposit into the Continuing Education Fund, after inspection by the town’s Police Department verifying the golf cart is insured and equipped as required by §§ 71.03 and 71.04 of this chapter, shall issue a certificate of registration (“permit”) and numerical tags which numerical tags shall be prominently attached to and displaced on the front and rear of the golf cart. The permit must be in the golf cart or in the possession of the person operating the golf cart at all times such golf cart is in operation on the streets or thoroughfares of the town.
