Whenever work shall be done in accordance with the provisions of Section 1020.03, except when a deposit has already been made by a general contractor, the plumber or sewer builder shall deposit with the City the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or a bond in lieu of such deposit which is to guarantee the proper performance of his or her work in accordance with the applicable City ordinances and the terms of the obstruction permit. Such deposit shall be in addition to that which is required for work to be done by the City but may be included with the deposit for City work where such deposit is also made by the plumber or sewer builder. The requirements and regulations set forth in Section 1020.02 shall also apply to City work in tree lawns, park strips, or under sidewalks.
