§ 100.10 GROUNDS REGULATIONS.
   The grounds of the Union City Cemetery are sacredly devoted to the interment of the human dead. It is with this purpose that the following rules and regulations are established for the government of the grounds of the Union City Cemetery. The Director or his or her authorized designee shall demand strict observance of these regulations to promote the decorum which should characterize such a place.
   (A)   No person shall operate a vehicle within the cemetery grounds at a speed in excess of ten miles per hour.
   (B)   No person shall permit a dog or other pet to run loose within the cemetery grounds.
   (C)   No person shall leave animal waste on the cemetery grounds.
   (D)   No person shall use or be under the influence of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs of any kind within the Union City Cemetery grounds.
   (E)   No persons carrying a firearm shall be permitted on the cemetery grounds except law enforcement officers and those authorized to conduct military funerals.
   (F)   No person shall change the grade of any burial site.
   (G)   No person shall leave any glass containers of any kind on the cemetery grounds.
   (H)   No person shall leave or employ another person to leave landscaping stone, timbers or landscape lighting or edgings at any burial site.
   (I)   No one shall be in the Union City Cemetery after dark.
   (J)   No person shall install or employ another person to install any monument foundation without the specific authorization of the Director or his or her designee. All monument foundations are to be installed by persons selected and authorized by the Director or his or her authorized designee.
   (K)   No person shall leave or install a homemade marker.
   (L)   No person shall leave decoration of any kind on the portion of the site that is mowed; however, this shall not apply to decorations left at a burial lot between May 20 and June 15 of a given year.
   (M)   No person shall leave any vase, urn, statue or other personal property with a height greater than 36 inches.
   (N)   If a grave site is unmarked, one of the following may be placed there:
      (1)   Temporary cross.
      (2)   Urn with flowers.
      (3)   An appropriate statue.
   None of the above shall be more than 36 inches high and must be removed when a permanent marker is placed.
   (O)   No person shall place boxes, shelves, toys, metal designs, chairs, ornaments, settees, pumpkins, Easter eggs, Christmas trees or other such items on burial lots.
   (P)   No person shall dig at the grave site or plant trees, shrubs, flowers or any other growing thing. All plantings made in violation of this rule will be removed and the lot will be reseeded as necessary without notice.
   (Q)   No person shall place a shepherd's hook at a grave site unless it is placed against the monument or over the monument and not in the path of mowing. Hooks must be maintained and kept straightened. Hooks that do not meet these requirements will be tagged, removed from the lot and kept for 60 days. Hooks that are not claimed after 60 days will be discarded.
