§ 93.44 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
   No person shall bring beer, ale, or other alcoholic beverages into any park, or consume, have in possession, sell, give away, or handle any intoxicating or alcoholic beverages in any park.

§ 93.45 TOBACCO-FREE PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS.
   (A)   The parks and playgrounds where children are present including, but not limited to, Harter Park and all other city owned public parks within the city limits are designated tobacco-free.
   (B)   Appropriate signage will be posted designating tobacco-free areas and the community will be notified of the ordinance codified herein.
   (C)   Violators will be immediately ejected from Harter Park and/or all other public parks within the city limits.

§ 93.46 EXCEPTIONS TO ALLOW ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN ARTISAN PARK.
   (A)   The Common Council makes the exception for alcoholic beverages at approved hosted events at the artisan amphitheater/park in accordance with rules and regulations of the Board of Public Works and Safety;
   (B)   The person requesting to serve alcoholic beverages shall obtain a permit from Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission;
   (C)   It is the intent of the Common Council to accept approved alcoholic beverage sales permit exceptions; and
   (D)   The Common Council of the City of Union City, State of Indiana to approve alcoholic beverage permit exceptions issued by the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission.

TRAFFIC AND PARKING
§ 93.60 OBEDIENCE TO POLICE OFFICERS, PARK ATTENDANTS, AND TRAFFIC DEVICES REQUIRED.
   All persons shall heed and comply with the directions of any police officer indicated by gesture or otherwise in using parks or park streets and shall further comply with directions on traffic signs along the routes in the parks and along park streets. Directions on such traffic signs may be disregarded only on an order of a police officer. In parking spaces, all persons shall comply with the directions of a park employee. § 93.61 SPEED LIMIT.
   A rate of speed in excess of 20 miles per hour is prohibited in any park unless specifically otherwise provided for by traffic signs erected by an authorized state or city official, board, or commission.

§ 93.62 COMMERCIAL VEHICLES; SERVICE ROUTES.
   (A)    Commercial vehicles constructed or adapted for or engaged in carrying merchandise, and all trucks and trailers are prohibited from using any park except under a permit where necessary to make deliveries in such park. Wherever service roads adjoin the main roadway to a park, such vehicles are required to use the service roads set apart for such use. In all cases such vehicles must enter such park from the nearest street intersection or entrance, in the direction of traffic, and leave by the nearest intersecting street or exit in the direction of traffic. No vendor, hawker, or huckster shall stop or remain on any part of the right-of-way of any service road or entrance. ('74 Code, §§ 94.27(A), (B); 94.30(B))
   (B)    Training in operating automobiles or motorcycles is prohibited in parks and on park streets. No person who may not lawfully operate a vehicle within the state or city shall drive or operate a vehicle within any park. ('74 Code, § 94.30(A))

§ 93.63 GARBAGE COLLECTION VEHICLES.
   No garbage, ashes, manure, or other offensive material shall be carried through any park. When such refuse is to be removed from premises fronting on any park or park street, the vehicle collecting the same must leave the park or park street as soon as the collection has been accomplished.

§ 93.64 RECKLESS DRIVING.
   No person in any park shall operate, drive, propel, or cause or permit to be operated, driven, or propelled, any vehicle in a reckless or negligent fashion, or at a speed or in such manner as to endanger the life, limb, safety, comfort, or property of any person.
