(a) No child under the age of eighteen years shall be in, upon or about the public streets, public grounds or the business establishments open to the public, or be in or upon a motor vehicle thereon, within the Municipality between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day, unless such minor child is accompanied by his or her parent, guardian, person having legal custody and care of such minor child, or unless accompanied by a responsible adult person over the age of twenty-one years, who is in the constant and continual company, control and supervision of such minor child. This curfew is in effect daily except Friday and Saturday and on days before a legal holiday as defined in Chapter 147 when such curfew hour is from 12:00 midnight of such days to 6:00 a.m. of the following day.

(b) All persons shall furnish any municipal police officer with proof or verification of their age herein under upon request to do so or be detained by such police officer until such proof or verification of age can reasonably be ascertained.
(c) Whenever any police officer charged with the duty of enforcing the laws of the State and this Municipality discovers or has called to his attention any minor child within the Municipality who is violating the terms of this section, he shall detain such child and cause immediate personal notice thereof to be given to the parent or guardian of such child and shall discharge such child only to such parent, guardian or other person having legal control or custody of such child.
(d) Any child under the age of eighteen years who violates this section shall be referred to the Juvenile Court of Summit County, Ohio for disposition under the laws in such cases made and provided.
(e) No parent, guardian or other adult person having legal control or custody of a minor child under the age of eighteen years shall knowingly allow or permit such child to violate any provision of this section.

(f) Any parent, guardian or other adult person having legal control or custody of a minor child who violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
