Unless otherwise posted, it shall be unlawful to drive any motor vehicle on any street at a speed in excess of 25 miles per hour or in an alley at a speed in excess of 15 miles per hour. Signs announcing the fact that the general maximum speed limit in the city is 25 miles per hour, unless otherwise posted, shall be placed on all roads within the city’s jurisdiction at the point where these roads enter the city.
