(A) The city shall not be held responsible for or in any way liable to any person for any claim for damage, either direct or indirect, because of any shortage of water supply, any shutoff of water supply for any reason, any breaking or leakage of either the consumer’s or the city’s water or sewer mains, pipes and fixtures, any pollution or impurity of water supply, any fire or water damage or any backup in the city sewers.
(B) The city will not insure or be responsible in any manner for any losses or damages, direct or indirect, or resultant by reason of any fire, and all water and sewer service furnished shall be conditional upon acts of God, inevitable accidents, fire, strikes, riots, war or any other cause not within the reasonable control of the city.
