§ 112.01 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or association or persons to carry on any kind of trade, sales or vending business activity from a motor vehicle, temporary structure or mobile structure, or to engage in any kind of commercial solicitation including, but not limited to, door-to-door or street side peddling and hawking anywhere in the city without first obtaining a license for such purpose.

§ 112.02 LICENSE TERM; FEE.
   (A)   All licenses hereunder shall be issued by the City Secretary only by authority of the Mayor of the city and shall be good for an initial term of 72 hours.
   (B)   The initial license fee shall be as provided for in the fee schedule found in Chapter 36.

§ 112.03 RENEWAL OF LICENSE; FEE.
   (A)   When the initial license term expires, the licensee may make application for a renewal for a term not to exceed 30 days.
   (B)   Such renewal must be authorized by the mayor and issued by the City Secretary and the renewal fee shall be as provided for in the fee schedule found in Chapter 36.

§ 112.04 FULL YEAR LICENSES; FEE.
   (A)   Individuals, corporations, companies, partnerships or other business oriented structures carrying on business in the city on a year-round basis which involves door-to-door solicitation, or other off premises conducting of business, may make application for license for the full year period.
   (B)   The fee for a full year license will be as provided for in the fee schedule found in Chapter 36. At the discretion of the Mayor/Council, a $100 bond may be required.

§ 112.05 EXEMPTIONS FROM FEE REQUIREMENTS.
   The following shall be exempt from the fee requirements imposed herein, but shall otherwise remain responsible for compliance with the terms of this chapter:
   (A)   Persons involved in interstate commerce; and
   (B)   Charitable causes such as Girl Scout cookie sales, school and church fund-raising activities, and other similar activities.

§ 112.06 ADDITIONAL FEE REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   Should an individual have agents, other than himself or herself, acting as a peddler as regulated by this chapter, he or she shall pay a fee as provided for in the fee schedule for each agent.
   (B)   Should an individual lose his or her license, a replacement fee as provided for in the fee schedule shall be required.

§ 112.07 WITHHOLDING OF LICENSE BY MAYOR.
   The Mayor may withhold authorization for any license or renewal thereof when, in the discretion of the Mayor, the carrying on of an activity to be licensed or renewed might create a traffic hazard or a health hazard or otherwise threaten the health, safety and welfare of the citizenry.
