§ 91.082 BURNING SEASONED WOOD.
   Any other provisions of this subchapter to the contrary notwithstanding, it shall be lawful for any person to burn seasoned wood for a recreational fire under the following restrictions:
   (A)   Such fires shall be contained in an outdoor fireplace or burn pit, unless they are permitted as part of a special event permit issued by the village;
   (B)   Any such fire must be kept under competent and continuous supervision and must be kept a sufficient distance from any building, structure or other materials so as not to constitute a hazard and shall further be subject to the following requirements:
      (1)   A responsible person of not less than 18 years of age shall be present at the site of the fire at all times to observe and control the fire.
      (2)   Water shall be available by way of a hose connected to an operational water source which hose shall have a sufficient length and capacity to promptly extinguish the fire.
      (3)   Fires shall be completely extinguished and not allowed to smolder after substantial completion of the combustion.
   (C)   Any such fire shall not include the burning of leaves and/or green (fresh) wood.
