331.21. Driving onto roadway from place other than roadway; stopping at sidewalk.
   The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, building, private road or driveway within a business or residence district shall stop the vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or onto the sidewalk area extending across the alley, building entrance, road or driveway, or in the event there is no sidewalk area, shall stop at the point nearest the street to be entered where the driver has a view of approaching traffic thereon, except as otherwise provided by a traffic control device.

331.22. Right of way of funeral procession.
   (a)   As used in this section "funeral procession" means two or more vehicles accompanying the body of a deceased person in the daytime when each of such vehicles has its headlights lighted and is displaying a purple and white pennant attached to each vehicle in such a manner as to be clearly visible to traffic approaching from any direction.
   (b)   Excepting public safety vehicles proceeding in accordance with Section 331.19 or when directed otherwise by a police officer, pedestrians and the operators of all vehicles shall yield the right of way to each vehicle which is a part of a funeral procession. Whenever the lead vehicle in a funeral procession lawfully enters an intersection, the remainder of the vehicles in such procession may continue to follow such lead vehicle through the intersection notwithstanding any traffic control devices or right-of-way provisions of this Traffic Code, provided the operator of each vehicle exercises due care to avoid colliding with any other vehicle or pedestrian upon the roadway.
   (c)   No person shall operate any vehicle as a part of a funeral procession without having the headlights of such vehicle lighted and without displaying a purple and white pennant in such a manner as to be clearly visible to traffic approaching from any direction.

   (d)   Each driver in a funeral or other procession shall drive as near to the right-hand edge of the roadway as practical and shall follow the vehicle ahead as close as is practical and safe.
   (e)   Except for services within the territory bounded by Cherry Street on the north, Michigan Street on the west, Washington Street on the south and Summit Street on the east, a funeral procession or funeral cortege shall not proceed on any street within the territory so bounded. Provided, however, that funeral processions and corteges may proceed on the boundary streets.
331.23. Driver's view and control to be unobstructed by load or persons.
   (a)   No person shall drive a vehicle when it is so loaded, or when there are in the front seat such number of persons, as to obstruct the view of the driver to the front or sides of the vehicle or to interfere with the driver's control over the driving mechanism of the vehicle.
   (b)   No passenger in a vehicle shall ride in such position as to interfere with the driver's view ahead or to the sides, or to interfere with his control over the driving mechanism of the vehicle.

331.24. Driving upon a closed street.
   No person shall drive upon, along or across a street or highway, or any part thereof, which has been closed in the process of its construction, reconstruction or repair, and posted with appropriate signs.

331.25. Following and parking near emergency or safety vehicles.
   The driver of any vehicle, other than an emergency vehicle or public safety vehicle on official business, shall not follow any emergency vehicle or public safety vehicle traveling in response to an alarm closer than 500 feet, or drive into or park such vehicle within the block where fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm, unless directed to do so by a police officer or a fireman.

331.26. Driving over fire hose.
   No vehicle shall, without the consent of the Fire Division official in command, be driven over any unprotected hose of the Fire Division, when such hose is laid down on any street or private driveway to be used at any fire or alarm of fire.

331.27. Driving through safety zone.
   No vehicle shall at any time be driven through or within a safety zone.
