The City will provide an employee purchase plan whereby employees will be able to purchase safety shoes and safety glasses, including prescriptive lenses, through a City program. The purchase program shall make these items available to the employee with sixty percent (60%) of the cost of the item to be paid by the City and the remaining forty (40%) percent to be paid by the employee. A payroll deduction system will be established under this program through the means of an automatic deduction from the employee's paycheck.
A new laptop computer capable of producing, saving and transferring the required paperwork/forms for an EMS or Fire incident will be provided for each line battalion chief officer plus one spare laptop. A total of four (4) laptops will be purchased in 2007.
Polo shirts shall be provided by the city to be worn in accordance with guidelines established by the Chief/Director. This will include no more than two (2) short-sleeved polo shirts or one (1) department issued sweatshirt per year..
